Writes means writing...as in the stuff I type...
So yes. Writing. In German, it translates to Schreiben. Und ich liebe schreiben.
Most of my computer life is spent typing away at one thing or another, which can be stories, HTML coding, message board posts, news articles, blogs...Those things. I write and write some more.
A major problem I have is that I have a hard time finishing short stories. It's not that I can't, but in my leisure time, when I write the way I do and I have a short story idea, I'm not sure how to finish it. -_-;; But I am getting better.
Outside of stories, though, my time is devoted to my novel-thingie-ma-bobber, Revival, which I may or may not post up depending on my sanity. X3
Und jetzt, saa hajimiri yo.
The-Not-So-Meaning of Life
A story written for Columbia of Chicago College's annual Young Authors competition. Every entry had to be an actual story (FTW!), so I decided to give it a try. The entire entry had to be 2,500 words or less, and I scrapped it at exactly that amount. Since then, I've done some minor editing, but it's pretty much exactly the same as my entry.
Anyways.
It's a winter day in Tokyo, and The Posse is back to lighten up the rather serious mood that's become of this section. After a short discussion of the 'meaning of life', they head out to the arcade to just hang out and have some fun. Don't expect any Nobel Prizes here, but do look forward to a sort of warm feeling and a little smile or two along the way. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the story with no plot that sort of has an ending.

A Fictional Look Into The Future
Hmm...why is it I'm uploading only serious stuff? Maybe it's 'cause I only finish this crap because I use it for school...
2017 or so is when this story takes place. And no, nothing major has occured - it takes place in a good ol' pub. Booze and random rambles ensue.
What will happen in the future to my friends? This is a take on it, thought it is something I would prefer to avoid - as do anyone who has a tight-knit group of friends. Basically, graphic-designer-Arian reunites with carpenter-Rand and, later on, wanna-be-director-Maytal. They discuss things that have happened, but despite what has happened, they manage to get plastered off of vodka and cowboy-brand saké.
What? It's what would happen.
Spring
A Set of "Freshman" Drabbles
You better get really used to these kids, because about half of my short stories involve them, thier everyday lives, and their antics. The basic premise behind these characters is taking me and my friends ("The Posse") and putting them in Japan. If there's one good thing that's come from this, it's that my knowledge about the culture and general "idea" behind Japanese life has grown immensly within the past two years. Though - I'm still far-off from being anything close to a reference, so don't nag me if things are wrong. It's called "evolution".
Anyways - this story takes place a little after the start of spring. Although there are roughly ten or so kids in "the Japanese posse", only six of them are in an advanced grammar class. Five of those characters - Nami, Tani, Haya, Surudoi, and Yasashiku - share their drabbles to the audience (though Hiroshi is an important character too). "Drabbles" are stories that are exactly 100 words long, and that was assigned on to them by the usually non-exciteable and reserved Ogawa-sensei.
It's a more serious tale than I usually tell, but still worth a read if you're curious.
